management testimony

When I first came to Portugal I was anxious and scared. I didn’t speak the language or know anything about the culture. However, on walking into ISEG all those fears completely disappeared, I was welcomed by many older students who welcomed me as one of their own. The most important lessons I have learned in ISEG is to always be courageous and speak out, never to be shy, and to always take risks in order to achieve your goals and dreams.

Why this program?

The Bachelor in Management fosters the understanding and application of concepts, theories and tools to real-life management problems and cases. As well as enhancing your career potential, the course will enable you to develop as a critically reflective thinker, able to analyse and interpret business-related problems and to devise creative and enterprising solutions that straddle multi-disciplinary boundaries. You’ll benefit from studying with students from a range of different countries, in a mutually supportive, collaborative learning environment. The Bachelor in Management offers opportunities to develop key interpersonal, communication, leadership and team-working skills, and to become more adaptable and resilient to change.

Designed in a top-ranked Business School worldwide (accredited by AACSB, AMBA), the Bachelor in Management program provides a solid education for the future of managers, with a comprehensive structure based on the core subjects of management, namely finance, marketing, accounting, human resource management, production management, and information systems, as well as areas of focus for management studies such as economics, mathematics, and social sciences.

With The Bachelor in Management I will develop critical and analytical thinking, integrating interdisciplinary knowledge of complementary areas in the education of the manager (Economics, Mathematics, Sociology, History, and Law) with the object to enable more effective decision-making. / I will use active pedagogical models that encourage the connection between theory and practice, as well as accountability, sustainability, and making a positive impact on society. / I will develop an entrepreneurial and sustainable mindset for conducting business and social activities, whilst always ensuring a positive impact on the environment. / I will strengthen the ability to discuss ideas and solve problems in a group setting, while developing leadership skills, including conflict management and group motivation to achieve goals. / I will develop practical management competence, including the ability to work in teams, to write clearly both for managerial and scientific purposes, to conduct robust and valid quantitative analysis and present the results, and to give oral presentations.
